Qualifications & experience
• Dog grooming can be a physically demanding job, so it’s important that you are able to spend long periods standing or crouching, and that you are calm and comfortable working with, and handling, different breeds of dog.
• A minimum of 2 years experience is required
• Certificate III in Pet Grooming preferred but not required
Tasks & responsibilities
• Greeting customers, assisting with phone calls and taking bookings.
• Providing care for the pets whilst in the salon.
• Bathing, washing, de-shedding, drying and clipping dogs of various breeds and coat types.
• Clipping nails and detangling coats by selecting and using appropriate grooming equipment.
• Maintaining safe animal handling
• Maintaining breed, clip and brand/product knowledge.
• Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness
• Cleaning and maintenance of grooming room and equipment
Requirements
• Current Australian Drivers Licence
