Mandatory Requirements: current drivers licence, able to pass a criminal history check, able to get to Blaxland yard each morning early start, able to start ASAP.
Manaul licence would be preferable but not required

No weekends
Some working nights may be required
No experience needed, training provided

An opportunity exists within our finance Department for a cadet to undertake a course of study to attain a degree in accounting or finance. It is a requirement of the position that the incumbent undertakes and progresses successfully through a relevant degree. Support to undertake part time tertiary studies by distance will be provided by Council. This will include exam and study leave, payment for university fees and provision of textbooks and resources.
The successful candidate will work full time providing support and assistance to the finance team while undertaking studies. As progress through tertiary studies is achieved the Finance Officer - Cadet will have the opportunity to apply accounting principles and provide educated accounting knowledge and advice to the organisation.
